Today’s Lagniappe: Dracula’s Revenge
It is said that garlic repels the dreaded Vampires. No vampire could get past this garlicky shrimp!

vampire

1/3 cup of butter
1 ½ to 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 to 6 medium cloves garlic, crushed and minced
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 ½ tablespoons of lemon juice
Salt

In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat until butter stops foaming, about 30 to 45 seconds.
Add the shrimp and garlic and sauté over medium heat, turning frequently until the shrimp just turn pink, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Add the parsley, lemon juice, and salt then stir well.
Remove the pan from the heat and serve.

Beautiful table — very elegant and chic. Love the china, and I also love the centerpiece pumpkin; what a terrific item, there is so much you can do with something like that!

Stoppin’ by from Tablescape Thursday. I also have a fall harvest table but I used white pumpkins. You’ll have to stop by and see them http://alattewithotta.blogspot.com/2010/10/fall-harvest-dinner-spott.html

Your lenox dishes are beautiful–I’ve never seen that pattern but I do love Lenox! And that was very clever to put your tablecloth on the diagonal! I will have to remember that. I had to laugh at Princess Grace playing the piano. We had 2 cats who loved to walk the keys, especially at night! Have a great day. Linda

Your goblets are so pretty!!!! Thanks for the shrimp recipe. I have pounds and pounds and pounds of it in the freezer that I bought after the oil spill when I thought we wouldn’t be able to get any for years to come. I’m trying to think up 1,000 different ways to use it!

Those basket pumpkins are my favorite thing on the table! I love them! I also love those gold rimmed goblets and that centerpiece. A great fall table all the way around.

I absolutely love the wicker pumpkins. They add such color and texture to the table. I am thinking that the garlic shrimp would be a favorite at my house, we are all shrimp lovers and with the added bonus of keeping the vampires away, it would be great this time of year.
